Evidence-based approach to personalising work that offers employees a more meaningful, healthy, productive experience of work.
This interactive session offers a practical and playful introduction to job crafting using a deck of cards designed by business psychologists at Tailored Thinking - an HR, wellbeing and performance consultancy.
Job Crafting is an evidence-based approach to personalising work which encourages people to tweak their tasks, relationships and purpose in line with their strengths and experiences. The result is a more meaningful, enjoyable, healthy and productive experience of work.
We personalise many aspects of our everyday lives - from our clothes and holidays to our cars and greeting cards.
Yet we are less likely to personalise our jobs. This is despite compelling evidence from over 20 years of research demonstrating the impact of job crafting on resilience, engagement and performance.
The Crafting Cards are the world’s first deck of cards that are specifically designed around the principles of job crafting.
They are a simple yet highly effective tool for structuring 1:1 and team conversations about our work, careers, performance, wellbeing and inclusion.
They can be used as 15 minute team meeting starters, 30 minute coaching conversations, 3 hour away days, or individual reflection exercises.
● Introduce the concept of job crafting, what this looks like in practice, and demonstrate the variety of benefits for individuals, teams and organisations.
● Explore how the Crafting Cards can be a practical tool for meaningful conversations about work.
● Play with the Crafting Cards and have a guided conversation about your own work.
● Share ideas about how job crafting could benefit your people and help them find ways to improve their work.
This session will be highly interactive, fun and practical!
