Transformations succeed when structure, culture & management change; learn how Spiral Dynamics can diagnose culture & design transformations

Research suggests around 26–30% of organisational transformations succeed when structure, culture and the management system all change - not just processes.

Learn how Spiral Dynamics can be used as a practical tool to diagnose culture and design transformations.

McKinsey’s research suggests that only around 26–30% of organisational transformations succeed when structure, culture and the management system all change - not just processes.

The problem is rarely “difficult people”. It’s the system protecting its current logic - what feels normal, safe and rewarded. When change demands a way of operating that doesn’t match the organisation’s evolutionary values level, resistance shows up as passive compliance, hidden sabotage, or predictable crisis points.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how Spiral Dynamics (developed by Don Beck and Chris Cowan, building on Clare W. Graves) can be used as a practical tool to diagnose culture and design transformations that land.

You’ll leave the session with knowledge on how to:

  • Diagnose the organisation’s values “centre of gravity”
  • Spot where your change plan will trigger system-level resistance
  • Anticipate and prevent predictable crisis points
  • Adapt leadership, communication, governance and incentives so change sticks
