Join us for our Mock Tribunal.
During the Tribunal hearing you will have the opportunity to act as the Tribunal panel, review evidence, hear from and question witnesses, and reach a judgment alongside the Employment Tribunal Judge.
The event will be presented by specialist employment law solicitors from Knights. Julie Temple and Karen Morovic, both partners, will guide you through the Tribunal process.
The event will start with a short introduction of the case to be decided as well as the procedure that will be followed. This will be followed by witness evidence and cross examination from the Claimant and Respondent before attendees deliberate and vote to decide case. The judge will then deliver a verbal judgment.
To conclude, there will be an opportunity to ask questions with expert insights throughout. The Mock Employment Tribunal will be as true to life as possible with some adaptations.
The event will be interactive and there is bound to be some laughter along the way.
Attendees will gain perspective on how evidence and witness testimony are assessed, challenge assumptions, engage in the Tribunal process and see how decisions are made.
About the speakers
Julie Temple is a partner and specialist employment law solicitor at Knights. She is also a longstanding supporter of CIPD and its members. Julie advises employers and senior level employees on a range of employment issues, complex multi-day tribunal cases.
Karen Morovic is also a partner employment law specialist. Karen advises employers and employees on all aspects of employment law including discrimination, whistleblowing, and unfair dismissal as well as TUPE and exit negotiations and settlements.
Julie and Karen both work with commercial organisations to deliver training and updates on employment law related topics.
