About this event

Helping HR professionals trust their expertise, challenge with courage and maximise impact without self-sacrifice.

People professionals are expected to make sound calls under pressure, hold difficult conversations, and know when to delegate, often while setting the standard the rest of the organisation looks to. This session is about the practical capability behind that: how to raise issues clearly, back your own judgement, delegate effectively, and make confident decisions under uncertainty.

You'll leave with practical tools for having harder conversations, delegating effectively, and making decisions with more confidence - skills that directly support your effectiveness as a people professional and the performance of the teams you work with.

This session will cover:

  • Raising issues effectively - how to surface concerns, push back, and have the conversations that need to happen, in a way that protects the working relationship and gets a result.
  • Backing your professional judgement - recognising the value of your expertise and your processes, so decisions get made efficiently.
  • Delegating effectively - matching tasks to the right person, so workload reflects capability across the team.
  • Deciding under uncertainty - using evidence-informed judgement to act decisively, rather than relying on instinct alone.
