About this event

Online event by the CIPD Branch in Mid and North Anglia with an external speaker on “Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence”.

AI adoption is happening across every business function, but it often stalls or backfires without HR in the room. This session makes the business case for HR as a strategic driver of AI adoption, not just a bystander or risk-manager. When HR understands AI, they can shape how it's implemented in ways that protect culture, capability, and trust and that's what makes AI adoption actually pay off.

The core argument. AI's business value isn't just in the technology, it's in the human systems around it (change management, upskilling, ethical guardrails, psychological safety). That's HR's territory. So, HI (human intelligence) isn't a soft counterbalance to AI, it's the thing that determines whether AI initiatives succeed or fail commercially.
