About this event

Get ready to level up your HR game with cutting-edge AI tools designed for SMEs and their leaders

In May 2025, Dr Vincent Bryce, Dr Mayen Cunden and Dr Neil McBride updated Branch members on their current research findings around building effective people analytics with AI. Their presentations and the discussions focused on the practicalities of AI adoption in people management, using examples, scenarios and models. They asked attenders to design and use responsible people analytics, sharing good ideas for positive improvements in delivering meaningful employment analysis in organisations.

Building on that guidance, in this session, Vincent will consider some early research into the effective use of Microsoft 365 Copilot for HR tasks. Some findings demonstrated positive use for managing e-mails and calendars particularly when legal deadlines with Employment Tribunals are approaching or work is required before effective meetings can be held. Some organisations are considering using Copilot as a virtual personal assistant. Many HR people have discovered and/or used AI note takers in meetings. There are some agentic AI offers which HR people could examine for potential use. They will take attenders through the ethical and practical issues arising if Heads of HR consider using AI agents to replace traditionally human roles. If they use AI agents, what does it imply for the practice of HR, workforce planning and society at large.

This will be an interactive session, discussing practical examples as well as sharing good ideas for positive improvements for people professionals at work. No recording will be made.
