About this event

Your CIPD cheat sheet! The most relevant bits of CIPD’s recent research, insights, and analysis; condensed into one online event.

In Rapid Research we will capture the key points from some standout pieces of CIPD research, presented by the authors themselves. These reports will cover the important topics in HR, the people profession, and the wider economy. This is your cheat sheet!

After the presentations, attendees will be able to discuss the findings with the authors, gain more in-depth knowledge, and continue the discussion.

We’ll be covering:

CIPD Labour Market Outlook

The quarterly CIPD Labour Market Outlook (LMO) provides an early indication of future changes to the labour market around recruitment, redundancy and pay intentions. The findings are based on a survey of more than 2,000 employers.

James Cockett, CIPD Labour Market Economist, will present our latest labour market data and analysis on employers’ recruitment, redundancy and pay intentions.

Working Lives Scotland

Working Lives Scotland is the CIPD’s annual benchmark on job quality in Scotland. Based on the seventh annual UK Working Lives survey, we survey over 1,000 workers from different sectors and occupations about key aspects of their work and employment to offer evidence-based insights for people professionals, employers and policy-makers to improve work and working lives.

The CIPD's Working Lives Scotland report examines how people work in Scotland and what they think about it.

Effective performance management: Guide for HR professionals

CIPD has produced a range of practical guides to help HR professionals, based on our evidence and insights. This guide asks “how can HR professionals establish effective performance management for their organisation?”

It provides evidence-based advice on effective performance management so people professionals can make informed decisions and recommendations, and support people managers in implementing performance management processes.

The guide also links to practical tools at each stage of the process.
