What makes Good Work? Our annual meeting will provide an overview of CIPD’s Good Work Index, an annual benchmark of job quality in the UK.
Jake Young, Senior Policy and Practice Adviser at the CIPD, will provide an overview of what the CIPD’s Good Work Index is and why it is so important to UK employers and HR professionals.
If you’ve never heard of or really engaged with the Good Work Index, this event is just for you!
Outlining of the finding’s key themes, history and methodology of the GWI and what it offers for employers and HR professionals. Jake will be sharing some key findings from 2025’s report, including the importance of line managers to performance, the mixed effects of work on mental and physical wellbeing, and the uptake and impact of AI and automation at work.
You’ll take away some food for thought to how this applies to your own current organisation or organisations you may have worked for in the past.
Speakers Bio:
Jake is a Senior Policy and Practice Adviser at the CIPD. He joined the CIPD in 2018, having completed a master’s degree in social science research methods. He has contributed to many of CIPD’s Evidence Reviews, notably on topics such as employee engagement, digital working and wellbeing. He has led on the CIPD’s Good Work Index, an annual benchmark of job quality in the UK, since 2023.
