Join us for an engaging ‘fireside chat’ with professionals and LGBTQIA+ employee resource group leaders to celebrate Pride Month.
Join us for an engaging ‘fireside chat’ with professionals and LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders within the science and healthcare industry to celebrate Pride month. This insightful discussion will explore challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ people, why ERGs are important, and how you can support staff so they feel confident in bringing their whole selves to work every day.
This is a joint event with the CIPD Branches in North Yorkshire and South Yorkshire & District, who will also be joined by Nadia Cove (Volunteer Manager, CIPD).

Hosted by the CIPD Branch in West Yorkshire committee member Rebecca Maxwell-Warrior with Jae Sloan (co-lead/founder of the Proud Science Alliance and a business coach) and Imran Ali (Global ERG Co-lead).
Jae Sloan (they/them) is an organisational development consultant, holistic coach, writer, speaker, and artist with expertise in organisational health, human performance in the context of work, inclusion and diversity, and leadership. They have 30 years’ professional experience working in multinationals, education, and non-profits. Jae is a co-founder and current co-chair of the Proud Science Alliance, a collective of healthcare and life sciences sector LGBTQIA+ networks and partners who work together to raise the bar on LGBTQIA+ inclusion within their organisations and the sector as a whole.
Imran Ali (He/Him) has worked in the clinical research industry for 10 years and has been a Global Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leader/Local Leader for six years. Imran pushes for the education, awareness, and change needed to help alleviate some of the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ people and their many intersecting identities.
