About this event

Uncover the what and the how of taboos–why is it hard to deal with them, the psychology of taboos, &the ways to deal with taboos effectively

How to deal with taboos at work is an interactive session that delves into the fascinating world of taboos—powerful forces shaping human and societal wellbeing that often remain hidden and unaddressed. Participants will explore how taboos are formed, their impact on behavior, and how to foster meaningful change in conversations and communities.

The session is structured into two key parts:

  1. The what & how of taboos
  • Understand the global landscape of taboos with compelling data and insights.
  • Learn how taboos are created, perpetuated, and enforced across cultures.
  • Explore actionable frameworks for creating behavior change, breaking down stigma, and engaging in uncomfortable but necessary conversations.

    2. Uncovering Your Own Taboos
  • Reflect on your personal relationship with taboos using a guided blueprint to uncover their roots in your life.
  • Examine how taboos influence your relationships, work dynamics, and personal decisions.
  • Identifying ways to support yourself when conducting difficult conversations with a difficult conversation planning document.

Through thought-provoking discussions, interactive activities, and personal reflection, the session equips participants with practical tools to navigate difficult conversations with confidence. By reframing taboos as opportunities for growth, attendees will enhance personal awareness, strengthen relationships, and drive positive change—both in the workplace and beyond.
