Case law & practical guidance on the complex issues around dealing with long term sickness absence while managing inclusively
This workshop with an expert facilitator will provide case law and practical guidance on the complex issues around dealing with long term sickness absence while managing inclusively.
Capability, grievance and at times, disciplinary processes for long term sickness absence need to take account of staff with disabilities through making reasonable adjustments at each stage of the processes. Staff might assert they are unable to attend hearings because they have a medical certificate explaining they are not fit to work.
Priya Magar from EMW Law llp will facilitate this interactive workshop giving examples from case law which explain the practical methods for organisations to ensure the processes they use for staff lead to inclusive, legal, ethical, fair and compassionate outcomes.
This will be an interactive session, discussing practical examples as well as sharing good ideas for positive improvements for people professionals at work.
