This is a face-to-face discussion group, where attendees pick the ‘hot topics’ to discuss.

If you have any issues at work that you would like to discuss and get the groups feedback and experience on Or perhaps with the change of government you have other legislative issues that you would like to discuss?

Anything discussed in the group of course is confidential.


About the speakers

Steve Couch

Steve is a Masters level Coach, Presenter and Researcher with experience of delivering personal, leadership and team learning at senior levels in major global organisations. His clients say that they value the way in which he draws on practical experience. This includes many years working for PwC, including 13 years as a Partner - leading practices in three different global regions.

Steve combines his experience with his passion for coaching seen in client testimonials, three years’ study for a Henley MSc in Coaching & Behavioural Change (with Distinction) and published academic research. Steve is former Chair of The CIPD Branch in Chiltern .


Elizabeth Hough

Liz is a Project Manager with a back ground in L&D. She has Project Managed many software projects including CRM, ERP & HRIS, where there is always Change Management, Learning and Development and Organisational Changes from C Suite to SMEs, closely linked to People Management. She has worked in many industries and some of her clients include Cisco, Horizon Care, Kier, and Local Authorities.

The CIPD Branch in Chiltern is an important local hub for HR professionals, providing opportunities for continuous professional development and two way communication with Head Office, as well as providing a local touch-point for CIPD members with opportunities for networking.

The CIPD Branch in Chiltern stretches from Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor in the south, to the Vale of Aylesbury in the north, and from Marlow in the west to Gerrards Cross and Amersham in the east (SL0-SL4, SL6-SL9, HP5-HP22, HP27).

The branch has around 2,200 members from all levels and specialisms across the people profession. From directors to students, we have established links with businesses in the local area as well as Buckinghamshire New University, an important local provider of CIPD qualifications.

We run monthly online discussion events, plus regular Branch events throughout each year, some in-person and others online, focused on a number of important topics.
