Workshop on managing disciplinary and grievance investigations effectively and fairly taking account of diversity
The workshop with expert employment lawyer Siobhan Atkin from Shoosmiths LLP will provide a concise legal overview and considerable practical guidance on the processes, interviews, documents, and requirements for managing disciplinary and grievance investigations effectively and fairly taking account of diversity. Employment tribunal decisions have shown employers losing their cases through inadequate, incomplete or biased investigations. A fair process is key. Case law and examples will be discussed to show how organisations can reduce the risks by using legal, ethical and fair processes. The workshop will give guidance on good practice and helpful tips to enable you to be legally compliant and effective employers and businesses.
Attenders will gain takeaway tips during this CPD session for improving their principles led, evidence based and outcomes driven activities.
After the CPD session, the formal business of the Branch Annual Meeting will be managed by Chizoma Okaro, Branch Chair and Katie Dungate, Branch Secretary.
