About this event

EDI Focus - exploring why racial inequalities still exist in our workplaces and creating inclusive leadership

We will explore why racial inequalities in the workplace still exist, by better understanding our history and how this has formed a cultural norm in 2025 Scotland. We'll explore how our identities are central to our work practices, and why understanding this is vital to transforming organisational culture to be fully inclusive.

We will give you some easy-to-use tools to test in your workplace that enable you to build a culture centred around inclusive leadership, and help you build the case for this bringing a competitive edge to your business.

Speaker: Paul Reddish OBE

Paul Reddish OBE is an accomplished CEO in the third and not-for-profit sector.

In 2023 he set up Equity Coach, an EDI consultancy which helps organisations and individuals to start or build on their approach to equity and anti-racism by providing training and experience-led workshops to give them the necessary confidence, skills and experience they need.

Paul is an activist, campaigner and agitator who achieves powerful results and delivers real and meaningful change.

Out of work, Paul is a keen cricketer and cyclist. He was a founding trustee of one of Scotland’s first club-based community sports hubs (Inch Park Community Sports Club) who use sport as a tool to engage young people in some of Edinburgh’s most deprived areas.
