A look at how accessibility can be incorporated in document design for an inclusive end-user experience
The session will provide an overview of accessibility within the context of training and digital design. We will look at types of accessibility, practical applications within the workplace, accessibility versus usability and how accessibility is shaping everyday life for all of us.
About the speaker
With over 30 years of experience in the diversity and inclusion space, Isla is currently the North West & Central Region Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Network Rail.
Her career spans the private sector and careers in the policing and fire sectors where she has championed inclusive policies, cultural transformation and equitable workplace practices.
Born and educated in Zimbabwe, Isla moved to the UK at age 20 and has since dedicated her career to fostering inclusive environments wherever she has worked. Her passion lies in empowering others to drive change – supporting, encouraging and engaging people to ask difficult questions, embrace diverse perspectives and learn from mistakes in a safe and supportive space. Making workplaces and society more inclusive for everyone is what motivates her.
When not working, Isla prioritises time with her family and enjoys gardening, cooking and baking.
