If you're a current or prospective CIPD student, whether at Level 3, Level 5 or Level 7, we'd love you to join us!
This is designed as a follow up to the CIPD Student Conference on Sat 8 Mar (https://events.cipd.co.uk/student-conference).
This online event will be split in to two halves, the first half will be a panel discussion, with experienced people professionals ready to talk about and answer your questions on topics such as:
· Changing expectations of the people profession
· What challenges people professionals may face in the next few years
· Preparing yourself for what's next
· Particular impacts on the work of people professionals
· Current economic pressures
· Technology and artificial intelligence
· Reforms to worker rights and protections
For the second half, you'll join a breakout room to discuss how to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours you'll need for your next (or first) steps in the profession.
It's also a chance to network with other local students and to help us better understand what role the local CIPD Branch in the Chilterns could play in supporting you during your learning journey.
After the event, the Branch Committee will be reflecting on your thoughts and we're hoping to put together a programme of activities to support all those working towards their CIPD qualifications.
If you'd like to be involved in planning and organising that programme of activities, then please email tara.hopkins@cipdbranch.co.uk
About the hosts
Tara Hopkins
I'm Tara Hopkins and I've had a long career as a generalist HR professional within various organisations before setting up my own company focused on HR in small businesses. I've been on the committee for the local CIPD branch for a few years and am keen to support individuals to develop their career in HR. Two members of my own team are currently on Level 3 apprenticeships so I understand some of the challenges of balancing work, home and study.
Kasia Harding
My name is Kasia Harding, and I am an HR professional currently working as an HR Administrator at a Waste Management Company. With a passion for human resources, I have recently completed my CIPD Level 3 qualification, enhancing my skills in HR practices. I am passionate about developing my HR career and expanding my skills, while also supporting fellow CIPD students in achieving their qualifications.
