Tailored for CIPD it has a significant learning content, exercises, music, an opportunity to experience how poetry can manage change

Tailored for CIPD it has a significant learning content, exercises, music, an opportunity to experience how poetry can manage change, as well as being ‘eaten’ by one! Plus I can offer my guide as a handout: Poets to love, live and laugh with… Poetry as a Leadership Resource. As well as being informative, it may well help participants recover or discover a love of poetry!

Poetry is my transformational resource in my workshop Switch Off to Switch On Your Creativity! to open up participants creativity combined with The Golden Wheel to present the ‘bigger picture’, identify and change key issues and bond teams, swiftly.

Key learning outcomes and benefits to CIPD members are that the talk will help them to:

Explore the power of poetry to manage change

  • Understand how poetry changes the way we think
  • Learn how it aids well-being
  • Understand why it provides a key resource for leaders and teams
  • Discover how it helps people reconnect through emotional engagement
  • Learn how it helps to resolve key personal and business issues, swiftly.
  • Discover how it improves listening skills and language

It’s approximately 45 minutes with 10-15 minutes for Q&A.

The talks reveals how the ‘business of poetry’ benefits leadership as well as bonding teams. As an art form, poetry is a vital resource to opening up creativity, reflection, and emotional engagement. Research has revealed that reading poetry can enhance strategic thinking, relieve uncertainty and ease overwhelm. It is therefore an excellent resource for well being, as well as for providing fresh perspective and insights.
