The event will cover the latest employment law updates that employers need to be aware of and consider how to prepare for the wide-ranging changes on the horizon, including legislation relating to unfair dismissal, collective redundancies, sexual harassment and third-party harassment, flexible working and family leave.

About the speakers

Helen Burgess, Employment partner at Gateley Legal:

Helen advises on all aspects of employment law and HR practice across many sectors, also regularly chairing and presenting at seminars, briefings and training sessions for both HR practitioners and line managers. Helen’s particular specialisms are reorganisations and large-scale redundancies, managing and negotiating senior exits, harassment, trade union-related issues and disputes, tricky grievances and dismissals, and complex, sensitive and/or multi-claimant tribunals.

Francesca Brown, Legal Assistant at Gateley Legal:

Francesca advises on both non-contentious and contentious employment matters as well as all aspects of business immigration law. Francesca supports clients in managing HR matters such as disciplinary and grievances as well as advising on redundancies, corporate transactions and employment contracts and staff handbooks/policies. She also regularly conducts Employment Tribunal litigation on a variety of claims including whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal.
