Join us for a comprehensive event focused on creating neuro-inclusive workplaces where all employees can thrive.
This session will provide a deep dive into neurodiversity scholarly research as well as practice on how to foster an inclusive environment for neurodivergent individuals. Networking from 18:00 and following the event, an opportunity for refreshments and networking.
The session will explore neurodiversity, defining the concept and explaining the differences between the social and medical models of neurodiversity, and how these frameworks influence inclusion; as well as the importance of neuro-inclusive language in communicating in ways that are respectful and affirming to neurodivergent individuals. The event will also cover a range of neuro-inclusive people management practices, discussing how simple changes can make a difference to employees with various neurodivergent conditions, such as offering free diagnosis/assessment and 'sensory maps' for the office environment. The speakers will also emphasize the importance of training for line managers and teams to ensure that neurodiversity is understood and supported across the organisation.
