This 90-minute session will look at what is effective leadership & how people professionals can support leaders to build a better business.
The session will be interactive, with Q&A sessions with the speaker and group discussions for you to share practical examples from your own experiences.
We will look at leadership challenges and why HR isn’t a magic wand! We will focus in on areas that will help leaders build better businesses. We will discuss various models as let’s face it once size does not fit all!
This session will be run by specialists in L&D, “elephants not rhinos”. They have 20 years of experience in this field. They are practical and engaging so please do sign up, places are limitied so do not miss out, this is going to be a great kick start to the new year members.
We will use story telling to bring the content to life, with examples from our own experiences and from international businesses.
The session will focus on four key areas:
1. The leadership challenge and why HR isn’t a magic wand: We will explore the current challenges that leaders face when it comes to individuals, and teams.
2. Areas of focus that help leaders build a better business: We will look at three core essentials to address when supporting leaders: Purpose, Diversity of thought, and Collaboration. Each will include examples from our own experiences and offer some practical approaches HR professionals could consider.
3. Examples from the group: The audience will be split into small groups to share examples from their own experiences, tools they may have used, challenges they faced and success stories.
4. Why one size does not fit all: To close we will hear examples from the room, and explain why every business needs to make different decisions to find the right solution for them and their people.
About the speaker - Craig Kaye
Craig Kaye is a leadership consultant and executive coach who has over 20 years’ experience in learning and development.
Craig spends much of his time working with leaders and teams, helping them explore the challenges and opportunities which enable every individual to thrive. He is a passionate advocate of inclusion and works with leaders of hybrid and flexible teams to ensure they can achieve outstanding performance from a diverse workforce.
Craig previously worked in senior leadership roles in the UK and in Asia in the financial services sector. He transformed the approach to learning in a FTSE 100 insurance company and held a senior leadership role in a learning team for a UK bank. In Asia, he led a financial services BPO business for an outsource provider, and set up a successful contact centre selling insurance products.
