Speakers bio:

Anya Duncan is a highly experienced employment lawyer with over nineteen years in private practice. A Law Society of Scotland accredited specialist, she advises on all aspects of employment law, with particular expertise in corporate transactions, TUPE, and cross-border matters. Based in Aberdeen and serving clients across the UK and internationally, Anya primarily advises employers in the energy, manufacturing, construction, transport, leisure, and retail sectors. Clients value her as a trusted advisor known for her pragmatic, commercially focused approach. Recent work includes leading an internal investigation into sexual harassment allegations and advising an international retailer on a large-scale redundancy exercise.

Robert Phillip has over seventeen years’ experience advising employers on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, grievances, restructuring, TUPE, industrial relations, and large-scale workforce changes. Based in Aberdeen, Robert supports energy sector clients in the North Sea, as well as clients in financial services and regulated professional services. Robert has a deep expertise in complex employment litigation. He is an experienced tribunal advocate with appearances before Employment Tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal, and the Central Arbitration Committee. Robert also advises on business immigration and IR35 compliance and regularly delivers training and lectures on employment law and tribunal practice.
