Documents and practical next steps following mediation skills part 1 to resolve workplace conflict before formal processes are needed
In October 2024, Louise Clayton and Jenny Barnor showed us how mediation can be used to main positive cultures in which staff share the values of the organisation. People professionals are finding that managers are increasingly uncomfortable with difficult conversations and with entering into formal disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Organisations which introduce mediation at the informal stage are finding that workplace conflict can be reduced and lengthy formal processes can be avoided. Jenny Barnor will share the documents and practical next steps to follow on from Louise's methods of encouraging managers to consider mediation as a first step in resolving issues. Jenny will explain how Louise's templates and documents are used by managers being trained in mediation skills. Proper mediation can resolve workplace conflict before formal processes are needed.
This will be an interactive session, discussing practical examples as well as sharing good ideas for positive improvements for people professionals at work. No recording will be made.
