About this event

Let's get together for a casual chat and networking session at the Fellows & Chartered Discussion Group event!

Join our discussion group for an engaging conversation about psychological safety at work - particularly the need for having a safe space for creativity and failure.

A 2024 Gallup study found that a work culture encouraging creativity and providing the time to be innovative, increased the number of employees feeling empowered from 20% to 70%. Another crucial part of this culture is recognising that innovation doesn’t exist without failure.

During the discussion, we will consider and share thoughts on the following:

  • What does a ‘safe space’ mean for you at work?
  • What are the main cultural or organisational barriers that prevent employees from feeling safe to innovate at work?
  • How can leadership play a role in integrating risk-taking and failure as the norm?
  • How could we support employees through training or other initiatives to build resilience and confidence in taking risks?
  • Do you have a personal experience of when a lack of safe space hindered innovation? What could be implemented next time to overcome this?
