About this event

Session 1 Working with Values The role of values in both working with clients and promoting change within clients

Our theme for the 2024/5 season is ‘Consult, Coach, Change’

No matter what aspect of HR your business covers, each of us is required to consult with, coach, and change something within our clients. This is the heart of what we do.

Each session this season we explore a different aspect of client interaction, reflecting on both our own practices and how we impact clients.

Session 1: Working with Values

What are the values you wanted to bring to your work? What happens when you feel compromised over these?

How do our clients’ values shape how we work with them and what we can achieve? How can we work more successfully with both our own and clients’ values?

· Reviewing our own personal values and how these influence / align to our business practice with clients.

· Working with and developing your client’s values; implicit and explicit values; the impact of values on contracted work; tips and tools to use with clients.

· Review and actions

· Networking

Each session this season will follow a similar pattern:

· Pre-session networking

· A short input on topic

· Opportunity for self-application and development

· Applying the principles to our clients

· Developing great client coaching questions, tools and techniques

· Review and networking

Subsequent sessions are:

27/11/24 – The Art of Influencing

12/02/25 – Behavioural Patterns and Coping Mechanisms

09/04/25 – Passion and Aspirations

11/06/25 – Round up and Overview; summer get together
Our Surrey and North Hampshire SIG for Consultants exists to provide support and enhance skills for those running their own HR business.

Whether you have been independent for years, are just starting out or even just thinking about going independent, you are most welcome.

We are often told how friendly and welcoming our sessions are. Why not come along and find out? We look forward to seeing you.
