Join us at this collaborative session between the CIPD Branch in Tees Valley and the CIPD team in Northern England which is a great opportunity for members and non-members to connect with the CIPD on how we can support you professionally in your learning and career development.

We’ll also let you know about key membership benefits (including content, communities and credibility) and how these can support you in achieving your career goals in the profession as well as the day to day.


Kayleigh from the CIPD team in Northern England will be joining the session, she will ensure attendees gain the following:

  • A better understanding of what the CIPD can do for you, your team and organisation
  • Familiarity with the CIPD Profession Map
  • Understanding of how to make the most out of your membership
  • Introductions to useful content that can support you and your teams
  • Learning about useful content and resources to support you in your everyday role
  • Updates on upcoming activities from CIPD Branch in Tees Valley and know how to connect in with CIPD in Northern England and their networks/ communities
  • Understanding of the next steps if you’re looking to begin membership or upgrade/ take the experience assessment


Kayleigh Tobbell

Kayleigh heads up all engagement activity for the CIPD in Northern England. She is responsible for leading regional development and strategic engagement in Northern England, ensuring that our strategy reflects the diversity of businesses, organisations and members’ interests.

Her role is focused on building reach, influence and impact across the region. This involves partnering and building relationships with key stakeholders, CIPD members, employers, HR leaders, policymakers, business communities and networks to amplify our voice and develop regional insights that will support members and enable better work and working lives in the region.

Kayleigh also runs all of CIPD in Northern England’s networks and communities including HR Leaders, Senior People Professionals, Northern Policy Forum and Independent Consultants.

Before joining the CIPD, Kayleigh taught English at secondary schools in the North East and had a number of roles within the Chief Security Office for a high-profile high-street bank. Kayleigh is passionate about improving work, working lives and upskilling in the North and North East regions.
