The CIPD South East Scotland Wellbeing Special Interest Group is excited to invite you to this online event held via Teams to explore Employee Wellbeing and its relationship with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. During the event you will hear from people professional Shawn Wilson-More, have opportunities to share best practice with your peers, and take away with you practical tips that you can implement within your own organisation.
Shawn is a Chartered member of the CIPD and a member of the People Partnering team with Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association while also holding the role of Wellbeing Lead. His background is within people services as well as coaching and developing leaders with experience in, for instance, recruitment at C-suite and senior leadership levels, employee relations, EDI, and health and wellbeing. He also has experience in leading and supporting change and transformation projects including the rollout of a national digital skills programme, senior leadership restructuring and the development of employee voice initiatives. In his current role at Hanover, Shawn has been driving forward the organisations wellbeing strategy which has culminated in the organisation being recognised by Investors in People as a Gold ‘We Invest in Wellbeing’ Employer as well as a shortlisted finalist for HR awards ceremonies taking place later this year. More details can be found here: Prestigious Gold Accreditation.
During this online event, Shawn will discuss Hanover’s wellbeing journey as part of wider transformational change. The event will discuss the relationship between wellbeing and EDI and how those links have been taken into account in relation to, for instance, the creation of people frameworks or running wellbeing events. Shawn will be sharing both higher level strategic thinking as well as practical case studies. By joining us you will have the opportunity to learn from Shawn, to understand how you can drive forward the wellbeing agenda in your organisation, while keeping in mind how it strongly links in with EDI.
In addition to hearing from Shawn, there will be opportunities for you to ask questions, share knowledge and reflect on how you might implement what you have learned in your organisation. You will also be provided with a practical handout to support you taking away key things from the session.
