The team at Herrington Carmichael are bringing you an Employment Law update – with a twist!

You can expect an enlightening and entertaining evening as we bring you up to date on the latest developments in employment law. We’ll be quizzing you to find out what you already know and presenting you with a few other challenges to broaden your understanding.

Sign up with colleagues or come on your own and we’ll put you in a team - our face to face events are a great way to meet and connect with other professionals in the area!

About the speakers

Alistair McArthur and Darren Smith, Partners in the Employment Team at Herrington Carmichael will be our hosts for the quiz.

Alistair McArthur, Partner and Head of Employment

Alistair has been leading the Herrington Carmichael Employment Department for the last ten years. The team are recognised and award winning within their industry; including their rankings in Legal 500 and The Times Best Law Firms 2024. Alistair works for a range of corporate and individual clients and has particular expertise in restructures, acquisitions and TUPE.

Darren Smith, Partner

Darren is a Partner and has been fundamental in the Employment Department’s recent growth and successes. An employment lawyer of the highest quality who is recognised for his ability to translate complex issues for his well-established client base. His expert areas include complex discrimination and harassment matters as well as senior exits and complex litigation.


Both Alistair and Darren have presented several times for the CIPD within the Thames Valley Region and bring a charm, entertainment and humour to their presenting styles to make their sessions both engaging and enjoyable.
