Session 2: The art of influencing - How do our clients influence us, and what can we do to help our clients say yes?
Our theme for the 2024/5 season is
‘Consult, Coach, Change’
No matter what aspect of HR your business covers, each of us is required to consult with, coach, and change something within our clients. This is the heart of what we do.
Each session this season we explore a different aspect of client interaction, reflecting on both our own practices and how we impact clients.
Session 2: The Art of Influencing
Does getting a prospective client to ‘yes’ just mean getting the price and assignment content right? Yes? Err, no!
In this session we will be exploring the psychology of persuasion. What might encourage prospective clients to work with us rather than another supplier?
How can we influence someone to get in contact, engage, and remain a valued client?
We will explore how the power of persuasion works at a behavioural level, and how you can build this into your everyday client interactions.
We’ll also explore how our clients might be influencing us and the in the way in which we work with them. For good or bad.
Join us on Teams from the comfort of your own home or office. Places are strictly limited to ensure an interactive session.
This is a great opportunity to meet and learn with like-minded individuals who probably share some of your challenges and frustrations. Usually they have great ideas and suggestions to share as well.
We are often complimented on being a friendly and supportive group – join us to find out for yourself.
Each session this season will follow a similar pattern:
· Pre-session networking
· A short input on topic
· Opportunity for self-application and development
· Applying the principles to our clients
· Developing great client coaching questions, tools and techniques
· Review and networking
Subsequent sessions are:
12/02/25 – Behavioural Patterns and Coping Mechanisms
09/04/25 – Passion and Aspirations
11/06/25 – Round up and Overview; summer get together
