About this event

Not attended an employment tribunal before? This Mock Tribunal will be an immersive simulation of the real thing.

How would you as an employer handle an Employment Tribunal hearing? Have you ever wondered what it is like to be cross examined as a witness?

An employment tribunal claim will be heard at Rheged, nr Penrith at 9:30 on 7 November 2024 to consider claims for unfair dismissal, disability discrimination, harassment, victimisation and unlawful deduction from wages

Experts from the Employment team at Knights will show you exactly how an employment tribunal operates and, more importantly, how decisions and comments made in the workplace play out in a Tribunal hearing. You will learn about the progress of a claim, including case management and be given top tips on how to prepare for Tribunal and give evidence. This will all be in the context of the hearing taking place throughout the day, with delegates having the opportunity to take part as claimants, respondents and witnesses in the case.

With Employment Tribunal claims increasing and enhanced employment rights likely to increase the risk of claims still further, this will be invaluable for employers, senior managers and HR professionals.

The Hearing has been allocated 1 day including remedy, if appropriate.

To ensure this mock tribunal is truly lifelike, the judge, claimant representative, and respondent representative will be portrayed by Employment specialists from Knights but we need delegates to volunteer to play a role in proceedings (please email north@cipdbranch.co.uk to express your interest)!
