About the speaker

In 2024 David got his 30 year CIPD membership certificate, and is still baffled by how he nearly said "no" to embracing the world of L&D way way back when he didn’t know any better. Given the responsibility of looking after three trainees on a YTS programme he has gone on to manage teams in L&D and recruitment, HR systems, been a lean engineer, MBA and CIPD lecturer and until December 2023 was the content lead for L&D and Organisation Design and Development products.

In January 2024 he diverted his energy into his business “Talent Delivers” and embraced more balance with looking after his grand-daughter and travel. His Masters dissertation was in Student Engagement with CPD and he also co-wrote the 4th Edition of the CIPD qualification companion book “Learning and Development Practice in the Workplace"
