For our next Independent Consultants Group session, we have invited Ollie Henderson, author of “Work/Life Flywheel” and host of the Future Work/Life podcast, to speak.
Ollie spent over a decade leading marketing and technology businesses. He now writes and speaks about the future of work and consults on talent, leadership and people-tech strategies.
By the end of this session, Ollie will have provided you with a framework for building a personal brand, a plan for getting started with creating content, and practical advice on sharing your ideas across different channels, like LinkedIn, newsletters and podcasts.
The ICG is for CIPD Members who are independent consultants and for inhouse practitioners that work alone.

About the speaker
Ollie Henderson has over a decade of experience leading marketing and technology businesses as a founder and CEO. He now writes and speaks about the forces driving the work/life revolution and advises businesses on thought leadership.
As the host of the chart-topping podcast Future Work/Life, Ollie interviews entrepreneurs, business leaders, and world-renowned experts on communication, creativity, leadership, technology, and workplace culture.
He also curates the Future Work/Life newsletter - read by 5,000+ leaders globally interested in the future of work and careers - and is the bestselling author of Work/Life Flywheel, shortlisted for the 2024 Business Book Awards.
In addition to consulting on leadership, talent, and growth, Ollie is the founder of Highlites, a new product designed to help teams capture and showcase their work contributions, ensuring every individual’s value is recognised.
About the host
Mark Pavlika
Mark is currently in his second year as Regional Facilitator for London. He has been a volunteer at the CIPD since 2007 and has held many branch officer roles during that period including Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer.
Mark’s proudest moment was pioneering the creation of CIPD London in 2013 and continues to support the region in this role.
He now works collaboratively with the central CIPD team and the seven London branches to improve member reach and to advise and facilitate on operational and event strategies.
Mark is an HR & OD consultant specialising in employer branding and employee value propositions. He’s also an Acceptance & Leadership coach working with leaders and leadership teams to engender acceptance and belonging within organisations.
