The workshop is a 1.5-hour online event hosted by the CIPD Branch in South Yorkshire. It will cover essential topics in equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular focus on the legal frameworks and HR practices that support these values. Participants will explore how these aspects impact workplace policies, fostering a more inclusive environment in alignment with UK legal standards.

The session aims to provide practical insights and actionable knowledge for HR and committee professionals to promote fair practices in their organisations.

Speakers:

• Sarah Naylor

Sarah is a Director at Switalskis Solicitors with over 18 years’ experience supporting businesses with their employment law needs. Sarah specialises in supporting employers with a wide range of legal needs and complex employment challenges, from drafting contracts, policies and procedures to offering tailored HR support. Sarah is known for her proactive and commercial approach when helping clients navigate workplace issues. Drawing on nearly two decades of expertise, Sarah will always give straightforward and practical advice, to safeguard employers against legal risks.

• Hannah Haywood

Hannah is an Employment Lawyer at Bhayani Law, with extensive experience in both HR and employment law. Since joining the firm in 2020, Hannah has advised on complex areas such as TUPE, redundancy, and discrimination claims, as well as providing dedicated HR support for clients in day-to-day matters. Known for her clear, approachable communication style, she focuses on helping clients confidently navigate workplace issues and make informed decisions.
