This morning workshop by Thrings Solicitors will cover the new duty on sexual harassment as well as indirect discrimination in the workplace

Case Study Workshop - What’s New and Working Through it – by Thrings

In this interactive workshop the Thrings Employment Law Team will explore through case studies, the practicalities of the new duty to prevent sexual harassment and how far the widening scope of indirect discrimination under the Equality Act may apply across your workforce and impact your existing policies and working practices.

There will also be a roundup of news and views on the recently published Employment Rights Bill and what you can do to get ahead of the changes.

About our Speakers:

Kerrie Hunt, Partner

Kerrie is Head of the Employment & Immigration Team with extensive experience in advising on all aspects of her clients’ HR and People strategies. She works closely with the senior management and HR teams of regional, national and global clients and offers succinct, well-informed and tailored advice. Kerrie is also a keen advocate and litigator. People are at the heart of Kerrie’s practice and clients appreciate that Kerrie takes time to get to know their business and how they like to approach matters.

Carey Willis Fleming, Associate Solicitor

Carey provides practical advice on the full range of employment law issues, including management of capability and ill health issues, redundancy and collective consultations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, discrimination, employment tribunal litigation and protecting confidential information and trade secrets. Carey is also experienced in drafting contracts of employment and policies and procedures.

Natalie Ward, Partner

Natalie advises across a wide variety of sectors, covering all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, with a view to offering clients’ senior management and HR teams proactive advice and improved risk management for their businesses. Natalie advises extensively on management of capability and ill health issues, redundancy and collective consultations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, discrimination, employment tribunal litigation and outsourcing issues. She regularly provides corporate support work on acquisitions and disposals involving TUPE.
