More about the speakers

Vayia Dessalen

Vayia is a senior Employee Relations professional, with several years of experience providing guidance on TUPE to HR teams. Vayia has worked in the Banking sector, ‘Big 4’ Professional Services and Real Estate sector, both as an in-house ER specialist, as well as a Consultant in M&A.

Vayia has extensive experience advising on complex service provision changes and business transfers, as well as upskilling HR and Consulting teams on TUPE through continued education and training.

Nicholas LeRiche

Nicholas is a Partner in BDB Pitmans’ Employment Law team and has almost 20 years’ experience of advising on employment and HR matters. As well as dealing with day to day advisory work for organisations, Nick has particular expertise in advising on internal restructures and reorganisations as well as TUPE transfers and regularly advises on the employment aspects of large scale corporate transactions.

Nick also has significant experience of employment litigation and advises on employment cases in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and High Court. He has recently acted for organisations defending complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and he has considerable experience in the rapidly developing area of employment status.
