Enlightening leaders & mental health professionals on meeting their duty of care, and the benefits in for individuals and organisation alike
This event is for both CIPD members and non-members.
Our event aims to raise awareness of Mental Health on World Mental Health Day and give those focusing on mental health in work, opportunities to gain advice, get great insights and tools to takeaway. You will be able to hear shared experiences and discuss with our panel how we can shape the future and move mental health forward for all to care about.
Come and join us from 9:00am where light refreshments will be provided and network with likeminded delegates, before one of our panel will open the event at 9:30am, giving a keynote speech around their own personal life experiences.
We can spend more time working than any other activity during our waking hours, and whilst it can provide a livelihood and be a source of meaning, purpose, and joy; for too many people, work can fall far short of its potential, failing to better our lives and detracting us from our mental health and well-being in ways that result in excessive distress and mental ill health.
Mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, are pervasive in workplaces globally, impacting productivity, attendance, and overall performance. When left untreated, the impact on people is staggering, let alone costing the UK economy, billions on annual basis, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
So why not come along to our interactive event and join the movement to help make a difference, we can achieve great change together in prioritising mental health in your workplace.
There will be a small nominal fee of £10 for non-members, who will have the opportunity to talk with one of our CIPD Thames Valley representatives about the many benefits you can gain from becoming a member. Just look out for one of us wearing a name badge, during our networking at the start of the event, or during our Q&A and networking at 11:30am.
