Covering recruitment essentials - Speaker: Julie Temple
This face to face session will look at the recruitment and selection process. During the session the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion will be considered along with types of discrimination, risk areas and implications for decisions and processes which breach legal requirements. The session will take a practical look at the screening process, interview preparation and successful interviewing.

About the speaker
Julie Temple is partner and head of the employment and BLHR team at Birkett Long. Julie is recognised as a leading individual in her field by Legal 500 and the team have been recognised as top tier since 2009. The team advise employees and employers on all types of HR and employment law issues. Julie’s main focus is working with and advising commercial clients, many of whom have a long standing relationship with Julie and Birkett Long and to whom the team deliver a broad range of workplace and manager training.
Julie has long been involved with CIPD having recently stepped back from her position as Co-Chair and now acting as Vice Chair to neighbouring branch, Essex and Ipswich.
Julie is also a mental health first aider.
