We are also extremely pleased to welcome and Kelsa Albert as our guest speakers and our higher education expert Fiona Wheeler from LSBU who will be leading our discussion.


HR Ambitions background

South London Branch has run HR ambition session in the past as we understand an importance of supporting young professionals in their early career steps which are often very challenging part. Every single of us has been there and we do not want you to feel alone in your journey, therefore we lend a helping hand and are happy to share our experience.

About the speakers

Leading our discussions - Fiona Wheeler

Fiona originally started her career in Marketing working for the financial services industry prior to moving into Learning and Development and Human Resource Management whilst pursuing her CIPD qualifications.

She is now a Senior Lecturer for London South Bank University primarily in Human Resource Management and Development with an emphasis on employability for 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students. Her passion is all about connecting people so that they are aware of the opportunities available to them and giving them the tools to access different career pathways.

Kelsa Albert

Kelsa is a Senior Manager for Global Learning Experience at Deckers Brands (Ugg, Hoka and Teva), a University Lecturer and Public Speaker. She has worked in Learning & Development for 12 years and has expertise in squiggly career development, inclusive workplaces, coaching and leadership development.

Recognised for her contribution to academia, Kelsa has received multiple academic awards and in 2023 was named Rising Star in the Consumer & Luxury industry by the Black British Business Awards.

Kelsa holds an Msc in Organisational Psychology and a CIPD Certificate in Human Resources. She’s a certified Clifton Strengths Coach and Certified Neuroleadership Coach which she utilises in the corporate world as well as coaching & mentoring young people from less privileged backgrounds outside of work. Kelsa was born and raised in London and in another life would have been a West End dancer!

Adam Purchase

With a decade of experience in the UK, Adam is a seasoned expert in People and Talent recruitment within Commerce and Industry. Originally from New Zealand, Adam brings a unique perspective and a wealth of insight to his role.
