Join us for a comprehensive Employment Law Update, where we will discuss and review key changes to employment legislation taking effect from Autumn 2024 and what might be on the horizon. This session will cover significant updates introduced by the Labour Government, ensuring HR professionals and business leaders stay compliant and informed.

Presented by Julie Temple and Karen Morvic, employment law specialists, from Birkett Long LLP, you’ll learn about:

  • Fair Pay for Workers - tips: Learn about the new legislation requiring all workers to receive their tips in full, addressing longstanding concerns about unfair deductions in the hospitality and service sectors.
  • Zero-Hour Contracts: Explore upcoming regulations aimed at providing greater security for workers on zero-hour contracts and what is happening to the right to request more predictable working hours.
  • Family-Friendly Policies: Discover the latest improvements to family-friendly policies, such as extended parental leave and pay, aimed at supporting working families.
  • Flexible Working Rights: Understand the new right for employees to request flexible working from day one of employment, and what this means for employers’ obligations to consider and accommodate these requests.
  • Other Key Changes: We’ll also touch on any further reforms related to sick pay, holiday entitlements, and potential changes around workers’ rights post-Brexit.

Why Attend? This session will provide HR professionals, managers, and business owners with practical insights on how to implement these legislative changes effectively in their organisations. Don’t miss this opportunity to ensure your business stays compliant and ahead of the curve.

It is possible that the content will change depending on any developments that may happen before the event actually takes place – it will be as up to date as it can possibly be!
