Discussion and the sharing of views and approaches on how the new duty to prevent sexual harassments will and can be met.
From 26 October this year, all employers will have a new positive duty to prevent sexual harassment.
A key part of fulfilling that duty is the risk assessment process, as that helps to inform the steps to be taken to address and seek to eliminate any risks. The risk profile will be different for each employer and within organisations is likely to vary with activity and/or location and from team to team.
In order to prepare for the introduction of the new duty, our friends at Muckle LLP have developed a risk profiling approach for our own business and they would like to share that learning and their approach and facilitate a working discussion between a range of Cumbria-based HR professionals from a range of organisations to help with their planning for the new duty. During the session partners in Muckle LLP’s employment and business immigration team, Chris Maddock and Amy Sergison, will work with the groups to help identify any risks and to consider the mitigations which are likely to need to be considered.
It would be great if you were able to join us on the morning of Tuesday 22 October 2024 at The Auctioneer, Carlisle. The session will allow for discussion and the sharing of views and approaches on how the new duty will and can be met. The session will provide a risk assessment approach and to help build the dialogue on how we work to eliminate sexual harassment from the workplace. The timings for the session are below.
