The CIPD has formed a new advisory committee to inform and strengthen our support for people professionals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The KSA Advisory Committee will bring together HR leaders to advise the CIPD on ways to empower people professionals to support economic transformation and national workforce goals.

The current committee members are:

  • Reem Alkhudhairy FCIPD
  • Saud Al Omair
  • Badr Alrowaili FCIPD
  • Taghreed Alotaibi
  • Fahad Alsaad
  • Eisa Al Dossary
  • Ohood AGosaibi
  • Abdulmajeed Alqusaibi FCIPD
  • Rami Busbait FCIPD
  • Nader Shinnawi

The committee’s members are all Saudi nationals – both CIPD members and non-members – who hold senior positions in private sector companies. They were invited to join the committee for an initial one-year period.

Their guidance will help the CIPD engage meaningfully with policymakers on national priorities and ensure our initiatives reflect the challenges and opportunities HR professionals in Saudi face. This includes creating meaningful career paths for Saudi nationals, developing strong leaders, enabling agile work and expanding opportunities for women and young people.

“We’re committed to empowering the people profession in Saudi Arabia through shared insight, local relevance and alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

Lynne Davidson, Regional Head of Marketing and Engagement for the Middle East and North Africa, CIPD

Reflecting the realities of HR professionals across the Middle East

We’ve been working in close partnership with governments, organisations and practitioners in the Middle East for ten years – supporting a growing community of capable, confident and credible people professionals.

Our UAE committee, established in 2023, has been instrumental in shaping our regional approach. Its insight and expertise continue to inform our outreach, research and engagement, ensuring our work is relevant, timely and valuable to the people profession.

Similarly, this new committee in Saudi Arabia will guide our work with national policymakers and ensure our programmes and resources match the priorities of local HR professionals – driving career paths, strong leadership and inclusion.

Together, these two advisory bodies will help us to support the growing HR community across the Middle East, partnering with organisations to strengthen people practices and build the capabilities needed for the future.

“As we celebrate ten years of impact across the Middle East, we’re expanding our strategic focus, deepening our collaboration with HR leaders and reaffirming our commitment to shaping the future of work in the region.”

George Hanna, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, CIPD
