Join us on day one of the festival for an exclusive Employment Rights Bill roundtable to share your insights on pressing issues that are still to be consulted on by government, such as changes to probation periods, zero-hours contracts and trade union collaboration. Your feedback will directly shape our responses to government consultation, ensuring your voice is heard by leading policymakers.

Join us for invaluable insights from leading figures shaping the future of work
Policymakers have recognised the CIPD and its members as key stakeholders in the development of new employment legislation, and we’re honoured that Alison McGovern MP, Minister of State for Employment, has agreed to join the festival line-up. Alison will join CIPD chief executive Peter Cheese on stage on day two to help festival-goers understand more about the government’s efforts to get more people into work and the role the people profession can play.
Alison’s session isn’t your only opportunity to hear more about upcoming changes to public policy and legislation. Festival-goers can also look forward to:
- Expert speaker and broadcaster Amanda Chadwick will be sharing her insights on the Employment Rights Bill to help you understand the latest and upcoming legal updates and how to manage them in your organisation.
- Former cabinet minister, Rt Hon Chloe Smith will be on the main stage on day two to lead a lively discussion on the UK’s skills challenges and building a future-ready workforce.
- Also on day two, Peter will be taking to the Experience Stage alongside employee relations experts for a deep dive into how employers can effectively engage and work with trade unions.

The CIPD Festival of Work is not to be missed by anyone who believes in the value people bring to the workplace. Across two days, more than 11,500 professionals are expected to enjoy memorable opportunities to learn and connect, share insights and even find some time to reflect and look ahead to the future.
Visitors will be able to choose from over 150 sessions across seven stages from global leaders, industry experts, policymakers, journalists and celebrities. They’ll also experience seven unique features across the festival floor, covering everything from AI and strategy to wellbeing and social impact.
