The CIPD is launching digital badges and certificates for members from July 2025, the start of the CIPD membership year 25/26, making it easier for people professionals to showcase their expertise and commitment to ongoing development.
Along with a range of recently added benefits to support members’ wellbeing and career development, the digital credentials will further enhance the value of CIPD membership for people professionals at every stage of their career.
CIPD membership is a globally recognised mark of professionalism - a clear indication that a people professional continues to learn and develop, even after they’ve completed a qualification. Over half of our members joined the CIPD, and renew year after year, to increase their credibility and gain recognition for their expertise and skills. We’re now making it easier than ever for them to do so.

From July 2025, and at the start of each membership year (1 July – 30 June) thereafter, CIPD members will be issued a digital badge and a digital certificate, hosted on the digital platform Accredible, which they can share with employers and their network.
These digital badges, issued only to members with active and valid membership, will further increase the value of their CIPD membership, as proof of their commitment to continuous learning and development. In addition to providing the credibility and professional recognition they deserve, their digital badge will give members:
Initially, we’ll be issuing badges to those holding one of our professional grades of membership (Foundation, Associate, Chartered, Chartered Fellow and Chartered Companion Members), as well as their academic equivalents. We’re also exploring ways for people at every stage of their career to demonstrate their commitment to professional development.
