The CIPD in Ireland has announced that Mary Connaughton, strategic engagement director, will retire from the CIPD next month following more than 10 years of service in the role.

She will continue to represent CIPD in Ireland as a director on the Board of the European Association of People Management (EAPM), supporting the strategic development of HR and people management bodies across Europe.

“It has been a great privilege to have worked with the CIPD in Ireland and to be inspired by the commitment and passion of the HR community to improve working lives. I am excited for this next chapter and to contribute further to the development of HR bodies and EAPM services across Europe.”

Recognition of contribution

Reflecting on Connaughton’s contribution, Peter Cheese, CEO of the CIPD, acknowledged the impact of her leadership on the membership community in Ireland.
