As an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) we’re Ofqual-recognised and have been considered as outstanding overall by our External Quality Assurance Provider (EQAP).

We deliver End Point Assessment (EPA) for five standards from level 3 to level 7.

Apprenticeship journey

We work closely with employers, apprentices and training providers to deliver successful apprenticeship outcomes.

Enrolment

The apprentice is registered with a training provider who completes the initial assessment and makes sure the apprentice understands their journey. The employer chooses the End Point Assessment Organisation.

To choose a training provider and complete your apprenticeship, please review the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register (APAR) accessible via the Government website.

On programme

The apprentice learns the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) needed to be occupationally competent. The apprentice, training provider and employer have regular progress reviews.

Gateway

The apprentice, training provider and employer discuss readiness for the End Point Assessment (EPA). The employer confirms the apprentice is occupationally competent and the apprentice or training provider submits the Gateway evidence. The CIPD confirm all necessary documentation has been submitted and book in the EPA.

End Point Assessment

The apprentice has the opportunity to demonstrate their competence and showcase the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) that they’ve developed throughout their apprenticeship. The apprentice’s evidence is assessed against the standard by a friendly and supportive CIPD assessor.

Results

Results are released approximately two to three weeks after the End Point Assessment with a helpful feedback report. The CIPD requests the apprenticeship certificate from IfATE on the apprentice’s behalf.
