My name is Susie Morris, I’m currently an HR Administrator studying my Foundation Certificate in People Practice.

Studying my qualification has given me a massive boost in confidence. I’ve been able to have better qualifications, not only my peers, but with the employee groups. When they ask me questions, I can give them succinct answers.

Student membership has benefited me by giving me access to a whole new world of content, journals, professional maps, blogs, everything that the website can offer. My tutor recommends regularly that we access all of the things that we can possibly get from the website, so it’s been a massive resource. It’s helped my job role by helping me to understand all the different aspects to HR. 

My name’s Roberta. I’m currently an HR Advisor and an associate member of the CIPD. The CIPD has helped me in the HR world. It’s constantly getting me to re-evaluate myself and support my personal development. 

My role has changed. I used to be a Store Manager. Now, I directly work in a HR department as a HR Advisor. The most valuable resource to me is the networking. So, for me personally, I network with the Sussex CIPD branch and the magazines that you get sent through the post, which are associated with your membership, which again, are very current. Also, the fact that you know the website is there, so that you ask it anything and you can find the answer. 

Having the CIPD membership has really made me thrive. And make a difference because I believe in myself more now. And I have the confidence to grow within myself, and the decisions that I have to make on a day to day basis. It make me think more around more around what outcome potentially they will have, rather than just going for going for something straight away. And its actually about having belief that I can make those decisions myself.
