How has your feedback helped us improve your membership?
We know that the last few years have been demanding for people professionals. This isn’t going to change, so we know we need to keep finding ways to support you.
- The survey told us that people really value member benefits when they use them, but that too many members simply aren’t aware of what’s available. So we’re making some changes to how we communicate, putting more emphasis on what you have access to as part of your fee.
- In April we launched our brand-new website and gave the CIPD a fresh new look across all our channels. The new website offers improved navigation features, and we’re working to make sure that the content you access is most relevant to your needs.
- We have completely restructured the student area of the website to make it easier to use, than before, during and after study, which had been highlighted as an area of confusion.
- A lot of feedback from more senior members was around giving something back. This year we have established the CIPD Trust: please do have a look and get involved.
- We also received feedback about being more responsive to current events and are looking at how our internal processes can be sped up. With this in mind, we published our cost-of-living Hub, with resources and guidance that enable employers to support their employees through the cost-of-living crisis, and more recently, our AI resources Hub.
Other things that we hope you’ll find helpful.
- Our Festival of Work took place in June and, for the first time, attendance was free. The Festival, which offered a new format this year, saw more than 6,000 visitors and was an unprecedented success.
- This year, alongside our existing UK shop, we launched new online learning stores for Middle East, Asia and Ireland/Europe, which enables our customers to access our world-class learning on any device, anywhere, at any time.
- We also launched new Essential Insights on the Learning Hub, which are free for members and Core Learning subscribers, and allow you to complete the learning at your own pace.
- Being a sustainable organisation is a critical part of our strategy, and we know that this is very important to our members. So we partnered with Investors in the Environment (iiE), achieving the bronze level accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to environment sustainability across our operations.
- We also made changes to our People Management Magazine, offering our members content that is more relevant to their needs, and reduced the frequency of our print magazine as part of our ongoing effort to be more sustainable. The online content available to members only also continues to increase, offering fast-moving news and updates that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
- In January, we launched our new Code of Conduct and Ethics. The new Code has been brought up to date to make it even more relevant to the challenges faced by the people profession of today.
- We also updated the Profession Map with changes that include specialist knowledge standards on wellbeing and psychological safety as a standard in the Working Inclusively core behaviour.
